On January 16th, 2023, the China Textile Talent Conference was grandly held at the National People's Congress Center. The conference, with the theme of "Talent Leading the Construction of China's Textile Modernization System", brought together nearly 200 industry leaders, experts from universities, and representatives from enterprises to deeply explore the scientific goals and specific measures for cultivating textile talents.

This conference is hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation and hosted by the Textile Talent Exchange and Training Center.

With the deep integration and mutual promotion of technology and talent, the construction of China's textile modernization system will inevitably usher in a new and high-quality development moment.

At the meeting, Sun Ruizhe, president of the China Textile Industry Federation, made a speech saying that Chinese path to modernization is the biggest politics and realizing new industrialization is the key task. In the process of promoting the construction of a complete, progressiveness and safe textile modernization industrial system by China's textile industry, how to achieve "high-quality talent development to help China's textile modernization" is the core issue.

Sun Ruizhe said that the most important thing in the world is just talent. Firstly, resolving practical problems, achieving stability and improvement, and making good use of talents are inevitable requirements; Secondly, grasping the development trend, winning the initiative in the future, and gathering talents are the fundamental support.

At the meeting, Sun Ruizhe proposed three expectations: firstly, to collaborate and build a high-level talent training system. Adhere to the laws of talent growth and promote the integrated development of education, technology, and talent. Secondly, we need to activate and create a high-quality talent development ecosystem. Guided by innovation value, ability, and contribution, establish a sound scientific, fair, and objective evaluation and incentive mechanism. Empowering and enhancing the ability to provide high-quality talent services. Enhance the awareness of talent service and effectively carry out service work such as talent training, exchange and development.

Li Lingshen, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Technological Innovation Helps the Construction of China's Modern Textile Industry System". Starting from the basic situation of China's textile industry, Li Lingshen expounded how to build a modern textile industry system with integrity, progressiveness and safety. To build a modern textile industry system, we must adhere to the principle of prioritizing the real economy and preventing it from shifting from reality to illusion; Persist in seeking progress while maintaining stability and progressing step by step, and cannot be greedy for seeking foreign knowledge; Adhere to the integrated development of the three industries and avoid fragmentation and opposition; Persist in promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and cannot simply exit as a "low-end industry"; Persist in open cooperation and cannot build cars behind closed doors.

At present, there is still room for improvement in China's overall technological innovation environment compared to developed countries, and further optimization is needed. In the future, technological innovation needs to face the forefront of world science and technology, build a more comprehensive talent training system, cultivate more high-level researchers, and contribute wisdom and strength to major scientific research challenges. Li Lingshen subsequently highlighted the breakthrough technological achievements in China's textile industry and stated that a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation will undoubtedly promote the formation of new world science and technology centers and economic centers; The new technological innovation and industrial paradigm shift have also provided a historic opportunity for us to "overtake" and integrate into the high-end of the global industrial chain.

How can technology, education, and talent blend together to better promote industry development? At the conference, numerous speakers such as university educators and business leaders gave their answers.

At the meeting, the launching ceremony of the 2024 China Textile and Clothing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was also held. The China Textile and Clothing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is a national competition organized by the China Textile Industry Federation. It has been successfully held for three sessions since its launch in 2019.

The competition has successively held roadshow final selections for sub themed tracks including "Digital Supply Chain", "Fashion Consumption", "Material Technology", and "Design Innovation". More than 1280 entries were collected in the three competitions, of which more than 500 were selected for the textile industry's innovation and entrepreneurship project library.
